LHP Jason Vargas (4-5, 4.25 ERA/1.28 WHIP), who is coming off a quality start against the Minnesota Twins on the road, allowing just three runs on five hits and a walk while striking out four over six innings. Vargas has a 3.42 ERA since April 19 and has a 2.16 ERA at Citi Field.
