Ivan Rabb will sign a two-way deal with the Knicks, league sources confirmed to SNY's Ian Begley. The agreement was first reported by The Athletic.

Rabb will not be with the team on Wednesday as they prepare to face the Spurs on opening night in San Antonio.

The Knicks had an open two-way spot after their agreement with Kris Wilkes fell through. With the signing of Rabb, their roster is now full.

"Good kid," Knicks head coach David Fizdale said on Wednesday about Rabb. "Hard worker. Really skilled big. Rebounds the ball well. High IQ player. It'll be good to get back with him and see if we can develop him."

Fizdale noted that Wilkes came down with a "serious illness."

"I don't know what it was but it was pretty severe," he said. "So right now we're not going down that road."

Rabb, 22, played for the Grizzlies the last two seasons, including under then-head coach Fizdale in 2017-18, during what was Rabb's rookie season.

He was waived by the Grizzlies on Oct. 19

During his two seasons in Memphis (spanning 85 games), Rabb averaged 5.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.0 assist per game while averaging 14.6 minutes.

Prior to being selected 35th overall by the Grizzlies in the 2017 NBA Draft, Rabb played college ball at Cal for the Golden Bears, where he spent two seasons before declaring for the Draft.
