The Islanders and core D Ryan Pulock have reportedly agreed to an eight-year extension, per TSN's Darren Dreger.
Dreger added that the deal is just under $50 million total. He was entering the 2021-22 season on the final year of a two-year, $5 million pact.
The former first-round pick by the Isles back in 2013 has played in 290 career games with the blue and orange and has been a valuable defender. He's totaled 125 points over that span with 33 goals and 92 assists.
Last season, Pulock owned a plus-15 rating with two goals and 15 assists for the squad that just missed the Stanley Cup Final yet again.
The Isles are clearly confident that 27-year-old Pulock's tough defense and ability to get involved in the offensive zone will make him a valuable asset for years to come on a squad that is knocking at the door of a championship.
