In the wake of the Knicks firing team president Steve Mills, other teams are under the impression that the Knicks are more willing to trade Marcus Morris, SNY's Ian Begley reports.

Prior to Mills' firing, the Knicks had been listening to offers for Morris but were more likely to keep him at the deadline unless they received a significant offer.

The Clippers are among the teams that have registered interest in Morris.

A few months ago, several NBA executives speculated that Morris could land a late first-round pick in a trade.

Additionally, Begley reported last week that the Knicks and Morris had strong mutual interest in reaching a free agency agreement this summer.

With the trade deadline two days away, the Knicks -- in addition to fielding calls for Morris -- have engaged in discussions witih the Warriors revolving around D'Angelo Russell (who is also reportedly drawing interest from the Timberwolves) and have spoken with the Hornets about a deal that could potentially include Julius Randle.

Morris, 30, is averaging 19.6 points and 5.4 rebounds in 43 games this season while playing 32.3 minutes per game.

ESPN first reported that the Knicks were more open to moving Morris in the wake of Mills' firing.
