The Mets got some rough news on Friday afternoon, when it was announced that Jacob deGrom was scratched from Friday's start with a stiff neck. Jeff McNeil also sat out of Friday's game and is day-to-day after his collision with the outfield wall on Thursday afternoon.
To add insult to injury, the Mets went 2-for-16 with runners in scoring position on Friday in their 6-5 loss to the Phillies.
