The Giants are back from their bye week, and WR Golden Tate is hoping this reset for the team can help spark something moving forward.

"It's good. I think we all needed to just kind of hit the reset button, refocus, kind of evaluate what we all individually can do better," he told reporters after practice on Monday. "Just try to go on a run."

Since Tate joined the Giants in Week 5 after serving his four-game suspension, Big Blue has found themselves in a six-game losing streak. It's a rut that Tate has never experienced in his 10-year career, so he isn't trying to keep this feeling alive.

"I think we really need a win," he said. "For me, I haven't experienced being in a locker room for a win yet, which is unfortunate. Not how I kind of imagined this going. But I think we're all hungry for a win each and every week. We're going to get it."

That run Tate wants is definitely an uphill climb when looking at the next three games on the Giants' schedule. The Bears,. who has been faltering recently, are looking for a rebound game against the Giants in their own building this week. Then, the Giants must host Aaron Rodgers and the Packers followed by the Eagles in Philadelphia.

It'll be a tough task to get on a roll against those three games, but if they're going to, Tate will need to step up.

This week, the Giants could be without Sterling Shepard and Evan Engram once again. Engram said that his goal is to play this week, but his mid-foot sprain he sustained against the Cowboys could have him miss his second straight game. And while Shepard is back out on the practice field, he is still in concussion protocol, per head coach Pat Shurmur.

So that makes Tate the top option in the passing game for Daniel Jones once again. He's had to deal with that during the Patriots matchup back in Week 6 when those two and Saquon Barkley were out on Thursday Night Football. He had his first breakout game as a Giant with 102 yards on six catches with a touchdown.

"We want all hands on deck," Tate said. "We want everybody out there if possible."

With the Giants at 2-8, obviously health of players -- especially building blocks like Shepard and Engram -- is the top priority. So they shouldn't be rushed back out on the field.

But these Giants are desperate for that winning feeling they haven't felt since Week 4. Say what you may about draft stock at this point in the season, but the players aren't on that same page that the fans may be on already. Stringing together a couple wins, especially in underdog situations like the next few weeks, does things for a team that is laboring.

It not only helps this season, but the next as well.

"I think when you look at, I guess, when we go on a run, going into next year you're just kind of building momentum," Tate said. "You can build off of that. The things that you don't do well, going into the offseason, you want to be focused on those things and make sure those things don't roll over into next year. I think some good can come from (finishing) strong."

It'll all start this week. And Tate will be looked on to continue his consistent play to hopefully get his first win with his new team.
