The Giants, who locked in their playoff spot and the No. 6 seed in the NFC with their Week 17 victory over the Indianapolis Colts, will face the No. 3 seed Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card round.
The Vikings, winners of the NFC North, will host the Giants at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
Minnesota has been one of the worst defensive teams in the NFL this season -- only the Arizona Cardinals (449 points) allowed more points than the Vikings (427).
But the Vikings have a high-octane offense, featuring star receiver Justin Jefferson.
The Giants played the Vikings in Minnesota on Dec. 24, and lost on a last-second 61-yard field goal in a contest they entered without Xavier McKinney and Adoree' Jackson before losing Azeez Ojulari and Leonard Williams during the game. New York should have all four of those players for the Wild card round.
This will be the Giants' fourth time facing the Vikings in the playoffs.
The Giants beat the Vikings, 17-10, in the Wild Card round in 1994, lost to them, 23-22, in the Wild Card round in 1997, and routed them, 41-0, in the NFC Championship Game on Jan. 14, 2001. All of those games were played at Giants Stadium.
