Giants running back Saquon Barkley likes what he sees from his team's offense this season despite their 2-6 record.

Barkley said it's the finishing touch that has to be better for Big Blue, and he's hoping his team will get better in that regard starting Monday against the Cowboys.

"Obviously with DJ (Daniel Jones) at quarterback now, I think you see how different we have been since the beginning of the year," Barkley said. "I personally feel like we have been very successful, especially on the offensive side of the ball, putting points up. At the end of the day, we haven't figured out how to win more games, that's the thing we have to get better at."

After missing three games due to an ankle injury, Barkey has averaged 3.7 yards per carry and has one touchdown in back-to-back losses. While near the basement of the division, the Giants can breathe some life into their season with a win this weekend over their NFC East rivals.

The Cowboys sit on top of the division, but only with a 4-3 record. The Eagles separate the two sides at 4-4 overall while the Redskins bring up the rear with just a 1-7 record.

If the Giants were to keep a flicker of hope alive with a win over the Cowboys, Barkley will likely be a big part of it, even with the return of wide receiver Sterling Shepard (concussion) to the lineup.

In his young career, Barkley averages 85.7 yards per game against the Cowboys, including his last two games against them seeing him eclipse the century mark. That includes a 120-yard outing in this year's season opener. Barkley is still looking for his first-career win against the Cowboys, though.
