With his four-touchdown, 322-yard performance on Sunday afternoon during the Giants' loss to the Lions in Detroit, rookie QB Daniel Jones rebounded from a poor Week 7 performance. He also joined some exclusive company.

  • Jones became the second rookie QB in NFL history to toss at least four touchdowns, have zero interceptions, and throw for 300 or more yards. The only other rookie to accomplish that feat: Marcus Mariota in 2015.
  • Became the second rookie QB in NFL history to have two games of at least 300 passing yards, two or more touchdown passes, and zero interceptions. The only other rookie to accomplish that feat: Dak Prescott in 2016.

Overall on Sunday, Jones went 28-for-41 for 322 yards with four touchdowns and zero picks. Jones' longest pass went for 38 yards and he rushed four times for 13 yards.

Jones' passer rating against the Lions was 124.2 after he had a 78.6 passer rating during the Giants' Week 7 loss to the Cardinals -- where Jones was sacked eight times.

Overall this season, the 22-year-old has completed 135 of 216 passes (62.5 percent) for 1,466 yards to go along with 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He has rushed 23 times for 134 yards and two touchdowns.

One of Jones' big issues in his rookie season has been holding onto the ball. To go along with his seven interceptions, he has lost seven fumbles.

The positives have outweighed the negatives for Jones, though, and he took another big step forward on Sunday against the Lions.
