Another week, and another Odell Beckham Jr. outburst on the sideline.

In the second half of the Giants' ugly loss to the Eagles on Thursday night, Beckham was seen butting his head against a cooling fan and yelling to himself as he did in Week 4 against the Saints.

As to why Beckham did it, he simply said it was to fire himself up.

"I was trying to get myself going," he explained after the game. "I feel like some of those plays right after I was getting myself going was some of my best stuff. I was trying to get myself fired up, I did that, and it helped me. There was a lot of things that had me fired up. Like I said, it helped me bring out the energy, I don't know a way around it but to get myself going."But head coach Pat Shurmur said after his team's 34-13 loss that the star receiver headed for the locker room early to get an IV, with no drama intended.

Head coach Pat Shurmur didn't see the incident, but condemned the act nonetheless.

"He can't do that," said Shurmur. "He shouldn't do that."

But that wasn't all of the mysterious sideline action that came from Beckham. In the closing seconds of the first half, No. 13 was seen walking into the tunnel before the end of the half. However, Shurmur debunked the scene as Beckham simply getting an IV.

"Just dehydrated again," Shurmur said of Beckham, who similarly left early against the Saints two weeks ago. "He went back into the locker room. Some guys dehydrate quicker than others, so we just have to make sure he stays dehydrated."

Beckham said he was cramping up, and wanted to get the IV in sooner rather than later.

"I was cramping, so I was trying to get an IV," he said. "The halftime break is really only 5 or 10 minutes. If I can use a couple of extra seconds to go and get an IV and come out, that's really all it was."

Beckham, whom the Giants fined this week for his controversial comments about the team earlier this week, caught six passes for 44 yards in the loss.
