Giants 2020 NFL Mock Draft roundup: Here's who the experts have Big Blue taking

Andrew Thomas and Jerry Jeudy are among the choices

By winning a few games at the end of the season, the Giants almost certainly cost themselves a chance at drafting game-changing edge-rusher Chase Young.

But Big Blue is still in good position at No. 4 in the NFL Draft and should be able to come away with a cornerstone player.

Here's how the latest mocks see things shaking out...

CBS Sports: OL Andrew Thomas, Georgia

Dave Gettleman loves his hog mollies, and Thomas would likely be a big boost for an offensive line that has improved but is still lacking.

The 20-year-old Thomas, who declared for the draft on Dec. 17, started all 13 games for Georgia this past season as he was named a first-team All-American.

When it comes to the future of the Giants' O-line, Will Hernandez has emerged as an important cog (while not quite living up to expectations) and Nate Solder (who has two seasons left on his deal) has been a disappointment. Center Jon Halapio tore his Achilles in Week 17 but is expected to be ready for training camp.

There is a chance the Giants could release Solder this offseason, but that is viewed as unlikely.

WalterFootball: WR Jerry Jeudy, Alabama

There has been some buzz around the Giants and Jeudy, and WalterFootball notes that if the Giants truly go with the best player available, it will be Jeudy, whom they call a "height-weight-speed freak in the mold of a Julio Jones."

While nothing Gettleman does should shock anyone, it would still be surprising if the Giants -- who need tons of help on both lines -- draft a wide receiver at No. 4.

It would be tempting if the Giants' wide receiving corps was a mess, but it isn't.

Gettleman seems to have hit on 2019 draftee Darius Slayton, Sterling Shepard is under contract through 2023, and Golden Tate is under contract through 2022.

USA Today: OL Andrew Thomas, Georgia

Like Josh Edwards of CBS Sports, Luke Easterling of USA Today has the Giants tabbing Thomas, calling him a "franchise left tackle" who has all the tools to make an immediate impact.

ProFootballFocus: OT Jedrick Wills, Alabama

PFF has the Giants bypassing Thomas (they have him going to the Chargers at No. 6) to select Wills, who they say has been a "rocketship up draft boards."

The right tackle made 27 straight starts for Alabama and was a second-team All-American and named to the All-SEC first team in 2019, during what was his junior season.

Fox Sports: OT Tristan Wirfs, Iowa

Like PFF, Jason McIntyre has the Giants passing over Thomas (whom he has falling to the Cardinals at No. 8). This time, it's to select Tristan Wirfs.

Wirfs, 20, was the Big Ten's offensive lineman of the year in 2019.
