The injury bug continues to bite the Yankees, who announced several changes Sunday before facing the Blue Jays at 1:07 p.m. in Toronto.
Among the moves, the Yankees transferred outfielder Giancarlo Stanton to the 60-day injured list.
The Yankees also placed left-handed pitcher Stephen Tarpley on the 10-day injured list, while optioning infielder Breyvic Valera to the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.
Following Saturday's game, the Yankees optioned Breyvic Valera to @swbrailriders. Prior to today's game, the Yankees placed Stephen Tarpley on the 10-day IL with a left shoulder impingement and transferred Giancarlo Stanton to the 60-day IL.

The latest shuffle comes roughly 24 hours after the Yankees welcomed back catcher Gary Sanchez, whose 1-for-4 mark from the cleanup spot during Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Blue Jays featured a solo shot in the top of the fourth inning.
Most recently limited by a sprained right knee, Stanton has not played for the Yankees since June 25 -- a 4-3 win over the Blue Jays. He landed on the 10-day injured list the next day. While Stanton resumed baseball activities by hitting off a tee and throwing without pain at a clinic in New York last Wednesday, the 29-year-old has appeared in only nine games on the 2019 season.
At the earliest, Stanton can return from the 60-day injured list Aug. 25.
Tarpley heads to the IL with a left shoulder impingement after he yielded a hit and two runs (both earned) with four strikeouts and four walks in 2 1/3 innings in relief of Saturday's game. The 26-year-old southpaw has appeared in 16 games for the Yankees, sporting an 8.24 earned-run average over 19 2/3 innings.
Claimed May 13 off waivers from the San Francisco Giants, Valera returns to the Triple-A level after appearing in the Yankees' previous eight games. Valera, 27, has slashed .192/.300/.308 with five hits and three RBIs in nine games.
