With two of the Giants' 10 remaining picks left, Big Blue finally shifted away from filling needs on defense to address their offensive line on Day 3 by selecting Kentucky offensive tackle George Asafo-Adjei in the seventh round.

The Giants' right tackle is currently Chad Wheeler, who does not quite have full ownership of the starting position. Asafo-Adjei could create some competition and at the very least, adds depth for the Giants up front if he makes the 53-man roster.

The Kentucky product is a New York native, born in the Bronx before moving to Cincinnati at age 8. He still has family in New York and visits every summer.
While he has New York roots, his family is originally from Ghana. He was raised by his mother, who works three jobs and sleeps four hours a night and has a sister that he did not meet until he was a teenager.
He played 48 games at Kentucky, including 12 games at right tackle this past season and was a two-time SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week in 2018.
If anything, Asafo-Adjei is strong. He completed 31 bench press reps at Kentucky's pro day, which would have tied him for 10th among all players and fifth among offensive lineman at the combine.
He was the fifth Kentucky player to be selected in the draft this year -- the program's most since 1979.
