The Yankees (59-32, 6.0 GA in AL East) are hosting division foe Tampa Bay Rays (55-40, 6 GB in AL East) on Monday at 7:05 p.m. at Yankee Stadium.

Aaron Judge is off to a solid start to the second half. He was 7-for-11 with two walks and a run and RBI against the Blue Jays over the weekend and is hitting .321/.433/.554 since returning from the IL on June 21. ... Gary Sanchez has some pretty good numbers against Rays starter Blake Snell. Sanchez is 5-for-17 with four home runs and seven RBI against the reigning AL Cy Young award winner. ... Brett Gardner has also fared well against Snell, with six hits in 19 at-bats, inlcuding a home run. Gardner enters the game on a seven-game hitting streak.

Who is starting for the Yankees?

LHP James Paxton (5-4, 4.01 ERA), who makes his first start since the All-Star break after and up-and-down first half of the season. ... His last outing also came against the Rays and the southpaw looked strong, allowing two runs on seven hits while striking out 11 in a tough-luck 2-1 loss. 

Who is starting for the Rays?

LHP Blake Snell (5-7, 4.70 ERA), who is facing the Yankees for the third time in his last five starts and fifth time this season. His results against the Bronx Bombers have been mixed this season, posting a 5.29 ERA. He allowed one run on five hits over five innings his last time out against them, but failed to make it out of the first inning in a June 19 start, where he allowed six runs on two hits and walked four in just 0.1 of an inning. 

Upcoming schedule

The Yankees and Rays square off again on Tuesday when CC Sabathia (5-4, 4.03 ERA) takes the mound for the Bombers while Tampa has yet to determine a pitcher for the 7:05 p.m. game.
