Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor tied two franchise records during Wednesday's 10-2 win over the Cincinnati Reds at Citi Field.

When Lindor scored a run in the first inning, it was his 13th consecutive game doing so. And with that, he tied David Wright's franchise record.

And when Lindor lined a two-run single to left field in the second inning, they were his 80th and 81st RBI of the season, tying Jose Reyes' franchise record for single-season RBI by a shortstop (minimum 60 percent of games at SS).

Reyes' record was set in 2006.

"To be next to Reyes, someone I grew up watching, it’s great, but I’m here to try to win a World Series," Lindor said after the game. "That’s all I have in mind. Along the way, things like this are gonna happen, and I thank the good lord for it."

Lindor entered play on Wednesday hitting .268/.344/.462 with 20 homers and 17 doubles.

He is on pace to finish the season with roughly 30 home runs and 115 RBI.

Via fWAR, entering play on Wednesday, Lindor was the eighth-most valuable player in baseball, right behind Jose Ramirez and just ahead of Manny Machado.
