According to a new report, four members of the Yankees organization in Tampa have tested positive for coronavirus.
Per George King of the New York Post, two of those staff members work at Steinbrenner Field, while the other two work at the nearby minor league complex.
The two Steinbrenner Field employees are non-players, and one of the minor league complex employees is "a staff member who hasn't been around the Yankees' facility for a while."
The Post also notes that the Yankees administered more tests on Friday, so the number of positive cases could go up in the coming days.
The Yankees had re-opened their Tampa complex for informal workouts recently, but MLB decided Friday to temporarily shut down all Florida and Arizona spring sites for deep cleaning, with employees not being allowed to re-enter until they pass a COVID-19 test.
The Bombers also confirmed on Saturday that they will be holding their resumed spring training in New York rather than Florida (if the 2020 season happens).
SNY MLB Insider Andy Martino reported Saturday that the Mets have had no positive cases at their spring facility in Port St. Lucie, but that at least one player has tested positive since spring training was originally shut down in March.
