The Mets have reshaped their roster over the last year and change, saying goodbye to some familiar faces (some beloved, some not) in the process. Every week, we'll take a look at how some of those former Mets are performing with their new teams...
Anthony Kay, Blue Jays
The lefty lasted 4.1 inning against the Yankees on Sept. 13, allowing five earned runs on seven hits. However, he got a no-decision in the game and has yet to record a win or loss in two career starts.
Wilmer Flores, Diamondbacks
Flores was welcomed back to Citi Field with plenty of cheers this past week. However, he managed to go 2-for-11 against his former team in three games.
He delivered the D-backs only run in their 3-1 loss on Sept. 9, thanks to a solo home run off of Jacob deGrom. It was his first home run of the September, and No. 8 on the season.
Asdrubal Cabrera, Nationals
The infielder has been hitting very well of late, going 8-for-26 over the last seven games he's played. He has a .308 average over that span, including 7 RBI and a home run.
Justin Dunn, Mariners
The RHP struggled in his debut start for Seattle on Sept. 12 against the Cincinnati Reds, lasting just 2/3 of an inning. He allowed two earned runs on no hits, while walking five batters and striking out none. Dunn threw 37 pitches, with 24 of them being balls.
Kevin Plawecki, Indians
The catcher hasn't been hitting well in the month of September... he is 4-for-17 with two doubles and just two RBI.
His best game was on Sept. 11 against the Los Angeles Angels, going 2-for-3 from the plate with a double and a walk.
Adeiny Hechavarria, Braves
The infielder has only one hit so far in the month of September for the Braves. He played just once in the past week, going 0-for-1 against the Washington Nationals on Sept. 15.
Curtis Granderson, Marlins
Granderson went 1-for-1 on Sept. 13 against the San Francisco Giants, as that is his only hit in the past week. He went 0-1 against the Giants on Sept. 14 and did not record an at-bat against them on the Sept. 15.
He is currently batting .188 on the season... much lower than his career-average of .249.
Travis d'Arnaud, Rays
The catcher went 2-for-5 with an RBI on Sept. 13 against the Los Angeles Angels, and then followed up that performance by going 2-for-4 with 3 RBI the following day.
He is batting .252 on the year with 16 home runs and 65 RBI.
Jay Bruce, Phillies
Bruce hasn't been playing too much as of late for the Phillies. He has gone 0-for-1 in six straight games dating back to Sept. 6.
