The Mets have reshaped their roster over the last year and change, saying goodbye to some familiar faces (some beloved, some not) in the process. Every week, we'll take a look at how some of those former Mets are performing with their new teams...

Anthony Kay, Blue Jays

After two no-decision starts, including Sept. 13's 4.1-inning struggle against the Yankees, Kay bounced back in last Thursday's outing at Baltimore. In his first career appearance as an MLB reliever, the southpaw logged 4.0 innings from the third frame all the way through the sixth, limiting the Orioles to two runs on four hits with three strikeouts to one walks. At the end of Toronto's 8-4 victory, Kay was credited with his first career win. Through three games (two starts), Kay is 1-0 with a 5.79 ERA and 13 strikeouts to five walks over 14.0 innings.

Wilmer Flores, Diamondbacks

Following his homecoming to Citi Field for Arizona's four-game series Sept. 9-12 against the Mets, the Diamondbacks' mid-September momentum got derailed but Flores helped the team's bounce-back stretch. After the Diamondbacks dropped two of three games Sept. 13-15 to the Cincinnati Reds, Arizona rebounded with consecutive series wins over the Miami Marlins and San Diego Padres last Monday through Sunday. In four of the six games, the Diamondbacks went 3-1 while Flores went 4 for 12 with three RBI and two runs. Through 84 games, Flores has slashed .316/.361/.478 with eight home runs and 33 RBI.

Asdrubal Cabrera, Nationals

Across the division in the NL East, Cabrera continues to contribute with Washington atop the Wild Card. Despite the Milwaukee Brewers' recent surge, the Nationals remain entrenched in the postseason push after they added Cabrera to their roster Aug. 6. In the past week of Washington's series wins over the St. Louis Cardinals and the Marlins, Cabrera logged five games and went 5 for 17 with a home run and five RBI. Cabrera also appeared in Sunday's 5-3 loss to the Marlins, entering for the top of the eighth's pinch-hit situation with a runner on first and suffering an inning-ending strikeout. In 31 games with the Nationals before Sunday, Cabrera was slashing .318/.395/.551, adding five home runs and 34 RBI.

Justin Dunn, Mariners

After his Sept. 12 debut start against the Reds ended with him unable to get through the first inning, Dunn was better when he took the mound again as an opener in the Mariners' 4-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates last Thursday. The righty walked three and only struck one out, but worked out of trouble with 2.0 scoreless innings of one hit.

Kevin Plawecki, Indians

The catcher played just once this week, going 1-for-3 against the Philadelphia Phillies on Sept. 21. He's gone 5-for-20 overall with 2 RBI in his last seven games, dating back to Sept. 1. The Indians (92-64) are in a tight playoff race, as they are tied with the Tampa Bay Rays (92-64) for the second AL Wild Card. The Oakland A's hold the top Wild Card spot... they are up two games on the Indians and Rays.

Adeiny Hechavarria, Braves

On Sept. 21, Hechavarria spoke out on his tenure with the Mets.

"I just want to thank God for the oppurtunity, removing me from the Mets and putting me on this team," Hechavarria said through a translator.

This past week, he played in four games, going 5-for-12 from the plate with three RBI. Hechavarria hit a home run on Sept. 17 against the Phillies... it's his only homer of September.

Curtis Granderson, Marlins

Granderson seems to be getting about one at-bat per game, as the Marlins (54-101) near the end of their rough season. He didn't record a hit this past week, going 0-for-3 with two walks in six games.

Travis d'Arnaud, Rays

Currently with a six game hitting streak, d'Arnaud has gone 7-for-23 since Sept. 14. The catcher went 2-for-5 with a double against the Boston Red Sox on Sept. 21. He's batting .255 in September with 15 RBI, as the Rays will need his production going forward if they hope to sneak in the playoffs.

Jay Bruce, Phillies

The outfielder was back in the Phillies starting lineup as a DH in their weekend series with the Cleveland Indians. Bruce went 1-for-11 from the plate with a solo home run. It's his both his second home run of September and his second RBI of the month.
