Former Mets 1B Lucas Duda is making his way back to the NL East as the Braves worked out a trade with the Royals after claiming him off waivers.
In exchange for Duda, the Braves are sending cash considerations for the lefty bat. Duda is hitting .242/.311/.415 this season with the Royals.
The 32-year-old spent parts of eight seasons with the Mets, owning a .246 average with 125 homers over that span.
Moving back to the NL East, Duda joins a playoff contender on his third new team in the past two seasons.
