Former Jets wide receiver Terrelle Pryor is in stable condition, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

His condition was upgraded after it was initally reported he was in critical condition after being stabbed at a Pittsburgh apartment complex late Friday night, according to WTAE in Pittsburgh.

"Shalaya Briston, 24, of Munhall, PA was arrested and has been charged with criminal attempt homicide and aggravated assault," police said in a statement.

Pryor, meanwhile, has also been arrested and charged with simple assault, according to ESPN. His agent has also told ESPN that he is expected to make a full recovery.

Pryor is a native of Jeannette, Pa., a suburb about 45 minutes east of Pittsburgh.

A standout at quarterback Ohio State, Pryor was drafted by the Raiders and played both quarterback and wide receiver for Oakland. He converted to wide receiver full-time with the Browns in 2015, joined the Redskins in 2017 and then signed with the Jets the following season.

He played six games with Gang Green, catching 14 passes for 235 yards and two touchdowns, but a groin injuy led to his release in October. Pryor went on to join the Bills 10 days later, but was released by Buffalo after just two games with the team.

He signed with the Jaguars prior to this season, but was placed on injured reserve out of training camp and was subsequently released.
