Former Jets defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson was arrested early Saturday for driving while intoxicated, according to the New York Post.

The 29-year-old free agent was stopped in Upper Manhattan at about 4 a.m. with a blood alcohol level of .09, exceeding the legal limit of .08.

The 6-foot-4, 315-pound defensive end was a former first round draft pick of the Jets in 2011 and played with Gang Green through the 2017 season before he was cut and signed with the Green Bay Packers where he played in just three games last year.

Wilkerson, who had 44.5 sacks with the Jets, was inactive the final three games of the 2017 season but then-head coach Todd Bowles said it was not due to disciplinary reasons, but rather a "business decision."

Wilkerson was awaiting arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court Saturday afternoon.
