Former Jets cornerback Buster Skrine will sign a three-year, $16.5 million deal with $8.5 million guaranteed with the Chicago Bears, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapaport.
Skrine, 30, spent the past four seasons with the Jets, recording 222 combined tackles, three interceptions, 30 passes defensed and three forced fumbles in 59 games.
Last year, Skrine totaled 58 combined tackles and eight passes defensed in 14 games (11 starts).
Skrine, along with Darrelle Revis, Antonio Cromartie and Marcus Gilchrist, were among the big signings GM Mike Maccagnan made when he took over leading up to the 2015 season.
Originally a fifth-round pick by the Cleveland Browns in 2011, Skrine played out his four-year, $25 million with New York.
