CB Trumaine Johnson and C Ryan Kalil ruled out for Jets' Week 9 game against Dolphins

C.J. Mosley, Josh Bellamy, and Rontez Miles are also out

The Jets have ruled out starting cornerback Trumaine Johnson and center Ryan Kalil for the team's Week 9 game against the Miami Dolphins.

Johnson suffered an ankle injury against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8 and has not practiced all week. While Kalil is dealing with knee and elbow injuries, and has not practiced all week as well. He played just 26 snaps (43 percent) in Week 7 and 32 snaps (55 percent) in Week 8 after playing in almost every one of the Jets offensive snaps through the first six weeks of the season.

C.J. Mosley is expected to miss 5-6 weeks with a groin injury, while wide receiver Josh Bellamy (foot and shoulder) and safety Rontez Miles (neck and hip) were also ruled out for Week 9.

 

Linebacker Neville Hewitt is listed as doubtful with neck and knee injuries, after being limited in practice on Friday.

Also on the Jets final injury report are Kelvin Beachum (ankle), Braxton Berrios (hamstring), Chris Herndon (hamstring) , Steve McLendon (hamstring) and Demaryius Thomas (hamstring and ankle). All of those players are listed as questionable for the Week 9 game.

Safety Jamal Adams was a full participant in practice on Friday after appearing on the injury report on Thursday due to getting his foot stepped on in practice.
