Former Knicks and current Rockets forward Carmelo Anthony reportedly has "multiple options available" and is expected to join a new team by the Feb. 7 trade deadline, according to The Athletic's Sam Amick.

Anthony, who last played on Nov. 8, is still on Houston's payroll on a one-year, $2.4 million minimum deal he signed after he and the Atlanta Hawks agreed to a buyout over the summer.

It is unclear, according to Amick, if Anthony would be traded or would be waived and then signed.

The Rockets and Anthony parted ways in mid-November when GM Daryl Morey said the two sides were "working toward a resolution." However, Anthony remains on the Rockets' salary cap.

Anthony, who accepted a bench role with Houston, averaged 13.4 points and 5.4 rebounds in 10 games, during which the Rockets went 4-6. In his last game, he scored just two points on 1-of-11 shooting in a 98-80 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, for whom Anthony played last year.

Anthony has been with four teams -- and played for three -- since the 2016-17 season. The Knicks traded him to the Thunder in September 2017, and Oklahoma City dealt him to Atlanta in a three-team deal on July 25, 2018. The Hawks placed him on waivers five days later, and two weeks after that Anthony joined the Rockets.

Anthony has averaged 24 points and 6.5 rebounds since being the No. 3 pick in the 2003 NBA draft.
