The Nets and guard Caris LeVert have agreed to a three-year, $52.5 million contract extension on Sunday, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
LeVert, who also celebrated his 25th birthday on Sunday, appeared to confirm the news in a tweet.
No better feeling to start off Year 25. Brooklyn, I can't wait for what's next. pic.twitter.com/AyDj4yDqx4

Drafted out of Michigan in 2016, LeVert's third season was abbreviated thanks to a dislocated ankle he suffered on Nov. 12. He returned on Feb. 8, and was inconsistent the rest of the regular season, but was excellent in the Nets' playoff series against the 76ers, averaging 21 points in five games. He finished the regular season averaging 13.7 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.
LeVert has been hampered by injuries since his collegiate career, but has shown the ability to succeed when he stays healthy. The Nets are hoping that he will be a key contributor for at least the next three more years on a team with no shortage of star power.
