The Knicks are going to make another move before the trade deadline -- it’s just a matter of who they’ll acquire.

With the bench needing a boost, and a backup point guard to try and fill the hole left when Immanuel Quickley was dealt, there are several names New York is primed to pick up, and one of them is Bruce Brown.

SNY’s Ian Begley reported recently that the Knicks see Brown as a target, and why wouldn’t they?

Speaking over the weekend, the 27-year-old guard said he is open to playing for New York and head coach Tom Thibodeau.

“I am a dog,” Brown told The New York Post on Saturday night before the Raptors’ loss to the Knicks. “I play extremely hard on both ends of the floor. I can do just about whatever [Thibodeau] needs me to do.”

The Miami product has been linked to the Knicks since the offseason. After helping the Denver Nuggets win their first NBA Championship last season, the free agent met with the Knicks about potentially signing with them.

Brown eventually signed with the Pacers but was traded to the Raptors in the Pascal Siakam deal last week. Now, the Raptors are likely primed to flip Brown to another team.

Brown is averaging 12 points, five rebounds and nearly three assists while averaging nearly 30 minutes per game. And his defensive skills and unselfish play would fit in with Thibs’ secondary unit. Brown has playoff experience and has also played in New York before -- he was the Nets’ point guard and small forward for two seasons from 2020-22.

He also seems to admire Thibodeau and knows what he can bring to this Knicks team.

"I play extremely hard," Brown said. "I would think [I’m] the type of player that he likes."

Brown added, "Every time we play Thibs I go up to him and shake his hand, just because of what he’s done. Nothing but respect for Thibs."

The NBA Trade Deadline is Feb. 8.
