UConn guard Azzi Fudd scored 17 points in Monday’s NCAA Tournament win over South Dakota State in what could have been her final career game at Gampel Pavilion.

However, Fudd announced on Tuesday that she will be returning to the Huskies in 2025-26 for her final year of eligibility, pushing off the WNBA Draft.

"Hey Gampel, thanks for last night… See you next year," Fudd posted on Instagram, including the hashtag “#onemoreyear” in her post.

Fudd, a grad student from Arlington, Va., came to UConn as the No.1 ranked recruit in the country after winning the Gatorade Washington D.C. Player of the Year and making the McDonald’s All-American team in 2021.

Fudd, who still has one year of eligibility remaining due to a season-ending injury that wiped out all but two games of her 2023-24 campaign, was a 2025 All-BIG EAST First Team selection, averaging 13.5 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game, while shooting an incredible 46.4 percent from three-point range.

Fudd and the Huskies head to Spokane, Wash. for their next game, a matchup with the No. 11 ranked Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
