Seven Yankees were ranked among ESPN's top 100 MLB players list 2020, a list that was compiled by polling 40 "writers, analysts, contributors, and insiders."
The Yankees who made the list:
Giancarlo Stanton, No. 82
Gary Sanchez, No. 63
Aroldis Chapman, No. 58
DJ LeMahieu, No. 57
Gleyber Torres, No. 32
Aaron Judge, No. 15
Gerrit Cole, No. 2
Cole, who was behind only Angels outfielder Mike Trout on the list, was ranked one spot ahead of Mets ace Jacob deGrom, who has won back-to-back Cy Young awards in the National League.
Of the seven Yankees on the list, two of them -- Stanton and Judge -- are dealing with injuries and will almost certainly not be available for Opening Day.
Sanchez, who has been dealing with a back injury, was scratched from his live batting practice session on Tuesday due to a fever.
