The Giants will be officially making Patriots special teams coordinator and wide receivers coach Joe Judge their 19th head coach in franchise history on Thursday, as he'll take the podium to introduce himself to the media at MetLife Stadium.

Giants co-owners John Mara and Steve Tisch as well as GM Dave Gettleman were quick to pivot to Judge after Baylor head coach Matt Rhule signed with the Panthers to fill their head coach vacancy. This came after Judge wowed the Giants in his interview on Monday, which convinced Giants brass that he was the guy for them.

However, Judge is still foreign to many Giants fans, who are still trying to figure out exactly who the 38-year-old is and what he brings to the table. And there's no better platform to fill in the blanks than this press conference.

So here's some questions Judge should answer as he takes his new role...

1) What makes you the right man for the job?

He may have a championship pedigree with five total rings from his days with Alabama and New England, but Judge has never been a head coach in his career. Bill Belichick and Nick Saban may give glowing recommendations on his preparation and coaching prowess, but why exactly is he right for this job?

That's the biggest question Judge will likely answer, if he doesn't address that in his opening remarks to begin with. This hire requires Judge to defend himself somewhat against skeptics, and everyone will be curious to see how he does that.

2) What kind of coach are you?

We've seen the reports that Judge's voice can be heard distinctly at practice, and some have called him a coach that focuses a lot on fundamentals. But how exactly would he categorize himself as a coach, and what his philosophy is should be answered.

Gettleman's main objective is not only rebuilding the Giants on the field, but off it. Culture is a word he uses a lot, and it will be interesting to see what kind of culture Judge wants to bring with him to New York.

3) Do you believe you'll be the next successful head coach from the Belichick tree?

The minute Judge was hired, the first fact that became apparent to everyone was the connection to Belichick. Learning under a future Hall of Fame head coach -- and arguably the best to ever do it -- holds a lot of weight.

But the assistants that have moved on to head coach positions before Judge haven't all been successful. Bill O'Brien has seen positive results with the Texans, but many others have fallen short when leading their new teams. Does Judge believe he's the next O'Brien, or dare I say, Belichick?

4) Who are you leaning toward to fill OC/DC positions?

Due to Judge's inexperience as a head coach, bringing in offensive and defensive coordinators who have had that experience is what many believe the Giants want to do. But, at the end of the day, Judge is allowed to bring in his own staff, so getting an inside look at how he's thinking would be great.

5) How exactly will you and Gettleman be working together? Does he have any say in personnel?

This might be a dual question for Gettleman as well, granted he's at the podium (there has been no word yet if he'll be speaking, but it should be expected).

Many coaches nowadays want at least some say over personnel choices, if not full autonomy. However, Gettleman is an old-school GM, so it will be telling to see the answer to this question in particular.
