Knicks president Leon Rose will speak in an interview airing Wednesday night -- his first public comments since being hired in March.

Rose has only released statements between his hire and now, while reshaping the front office under him and launching the search for the Knicks' next head coach.

Here are five questions Rose should answer...

What is your overall plan?

Rose gave the bland, cookie-cutter version of this in his statement when taking the job, but he hasn't yet gone into detail about what his vision for the franchise is.

In a perpetual state of rebuilding for the better part of the last two decades (save for the couple of good Melo years), the Knicks haven't made the playoffs since the 2012-13 season and have been pretty bad at drafting during that time (with Kristaps Porzingis one clear exception).

Is Rose preparing to build around recent draft picks RJ Barrett and Mitchell Robinson? Does he view Barrett as a core player? What about the still-raw Kevin Knox

Is Rose open to trading first-round draft picks, of which the Knicks have many in the near future, in order to speed up the rebuild? What is his plan when it comes to free agency?

How is the coaching search going and is there a timeline?

The expectation for months has been that the Knicks will eventually hire Tom Thibodeau, but the team is currently engaged in an expansive search that also includes Kenny Atkinson, Mike Woodson, Jason Kidd, and others.

Rose isn't going to tip his hand, but it will be interesting to hear him give his thoughts on some of the candidates who are being considered.

Are Frank Ntilikina and Julius Randle viewed as keepers?

The Knicks have big decisions to make when it comes to Ntilikina and Randle, who are seemingly in a different tier than Barrett, Robinson, and Knox (potential building blocks) and the rest of the roster (with many of those players having agreed to deals with only one-year guarantees before the 2019-20 season).

When it comes to Ntilikina, who is entering the final year of his rookie deal, SNY's Ian Begley recently reported to not expect the Knicks to shop him as aggressively as they did prior to the 2019 NBA Draft, but that he isn't off-limits.

As far as Randle is concerned, his name has continued to be out there in trade rumors.

Can you shed light on your NBA Draft plan?

The Knicks don't yet know what number they'll be picking at, but it will be somewhere near the top.

The even money is on them going for a player they think they can be their point guard of the future (Cole AnthonyLaMelo Ball?). But does Rose have a different idea?

Do you agree that the Knicks are at a disadvantage when it comes to attracting big free agents?

The Knicks have taken big swings and misses in recent years when it comes to the biggest free agents.

Their biggest miss was arguably last summer, when they cleared tons of cap room and watched Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving go to Brooklyn instead of The Garden.

Are free agents really shying away from the Knicks? And if so, how does Rose fix that issue?
