The Rangers outshot Toronto by a 2:1 ratio and controlled play for most of the game but failed to capitalize on their scoring chances, resulting in a 3-2 loss. Will Cuylle, Ryan Lindgren and Vincent Trocheck all felt New York deserved a better result but agreed not taking advantage of their opportunities offensively falls on the whole team's shoulders.
