McCarron loves the story Koosman told about pranking the late Tom Seaver and Ed Kranepool into thinking they were traded to Houston at one time. All kidding side, his teammates considered his contributions to Mets success, every bit as important as Seaver's. McCarron: 'He was a towering figure in the history of the franchise'.
