Among the takeaways from Jets head coach Aaron Glenn after Saturday's intra-squad scrimmage was that they need to get the ball into the hands of versatile WR Isiah Williams.. According to Glenn, the Jets team MVP a year ago in an explosive player that has earned "respect and more reps." With regard to the scrimmage, the coach liked the offense getting off to a fast start before the defense stepped up and shut them down. Glenn listed first-round pick David Bailey as day to day with an ankle injury.

With less than a week to go before their first preseason game against Tampa Bay, all three phases of the Jets roster was putting in the work. Quarterbacks Geno Smith and Cade Klubnik concentrated on timing with their receivers while the offensive line, led by Armand Membou, sharpened up their footwork. The Jets outstanding special teams unit worked on creating turnovers, led by coach Chris Banjo.

Giants head coach John Harbaugh was excited to have wide receiver Malik Nabers back at practice for the first time since tearing his ACL in Week 4 of the 2025 season. Harbaugh called the return "a milestone" for the Giants.

Mets prospects Nick Morabito, Jacob Reimer and Elian Pena all hit home runs in minor league action. Morabito led off the game with a home run for Syracuse, while Reimer drove in three with his long ball. Elian Pena hit his eighth home run of the season for Port St. Lucie, going 2-for-4 in their victory.
