Rangers head coach Peter Laviolette felt the team was in control heading to the third period but Washington captain Alex Ovechkin's power-play goal tied the game at 2-2 and changed the momentum in the eventual 3-2 OT loss. K'Andre Miller acknowledged that Rangers were on their heels in the defensive zone and lost their "swagger." Vincent Trocheck had a more positive outlook, indicating New York did a lot of good things against the top team in the Eastern Conference.
