He talked about continuing to add on and admitted the team's familiarity with Cortes' pitching played a big part in their success. Though obviously disappointed with the loss, Mets starter Griffin Canning felt he executed his pitches well except for Yordan Alvarez's RBI double in the sixth inning which proved to be the decisive run in a 2-1 loss. Francisco Lindor credited Houston with playing a strong series but felt the Mets as a whole had quality at-bats and doesn't expect the offense to struggle for an extended period.
