Just three days prior to having his jersey retired at Citi Field, former Mets captain David Wright attended a screening of the "Wright Way," an extensive documentary of his life produced by SNY. Wright expressed his gratitude to the producers for the massive two-hour undertaking and being able to share it with his entire family. He's unsure of how he'll react during the jersey retirement ceremony but remains "humbled and grateful" for the honor.

Edwin Diaz and David Peterson both thoroughly enjoyed All-Star week, with Peterson saying "it's something I'll remember forever." Diaz got a kick out of using the pitch challenge, which earned him a strikeout and an opportunity to give Randy Arozarena a little grief because it ended the inning.

Mets first baseman Pete Alonso enjoyed his fifth MLB All-Star Game, which included belting a three-run home run for the National League. Alonso was also prepared to participate in a Home Run Derby to decide the winner with the game tied after nine-innings. He complimented Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber for closing out the win and putting an end to the drama.

Yankees captain Aaron Judge says that special feeling you get playing in an All-Star Game "never gets old." For pitcher Carlos Rodon, his personal highlight was seeing his son's excitement on the field during Monday's Home Run Derby. Manager Aaron Boone was thrilled to have Hall-of-Famer and former Yankees skipper Joe Torre be a part of the game., even making a pitching change. Boone added it was great to see the camaraderie amongst the players and see their excitement at the end-of-game HR Derby that broke a 6-6 tie.
