Luis Severino delivered another quality start and the Mets provided plenty of offensive support, pounding out 14 hits in a 6-1 win over the Royals. Brandon Nimmo, Jeff McNeil, DJ Stewart all drove in a run, while Brett Baty launched a two-run double to give the Mets bullpen some breathing room. Pete Alonso ripped a solo home run in the eighth to cap off the night, his fourth of the season.
