Carlos Mendoza was happy to get the victory as the Mets won 6-5 in extra innings. The Mets leave Miami winning 2 out of 3, and Mendoza said they are "ready to go" for their home opener on Friday.

Following the Mets' 6-5 extra innings victory, Pete Alonso discussed the 8th inning home run to tie the game at 4.  Clay Holmes talked about what was working as he completed his second start as a member of the Mets, striking out six in 4.2 innings pitched.

Pete Alonso hit an a three-run homer in the top of 8th to tie the game, and the Mets rallied to defeat the Miami Marlins 6-5 in the 11th inning. Jesse Winker walked with the bases loaded in the top of the 11th to give New York the lead. Huascar Brazoban got the save as the Mets won 2 of 3 in Miami.

Aaron Judge blasted three homers and drove in eight runs while Cody Bellinger had three hits and four RBI. Paul Goldschmidt started things off with a solo shot to lead off the first inning in which they went deep four times. He talked about continuing to add on and admitted the team's familiarity with Cortes' pitching played a big part in their success. Bellinger said "it was super unique" to be a part of but was also in awe of Judge's monster day. The Yankees' captain tried to downplay his performance but agreed the atmosphere was "electric."
