Mets right hander Tylor Megill accomplished what he set out to do in his final spring start. Threw all his pitches for strikes, especially his off speed and got ahead of the hitters. Manager Carlos Mendoza echoed those sentiments and it certainly appears that Megill will be in the starting rotation to begin the new season.

Brandon Nimmo, Mark Vientos and Jesse Winker each had an RBI in the Mets' three-run first inning. Hayden Senger, who is still fighting to start the season with the Mets as the backup catcher, crushed a solo home run and Francisco Lindor delivered an RBI single in the seventh as the Mets and Nationals played to a 5-5 tie.
