For the Syracuse Mets, Drew Gilbert collected his first Triple-A hit this season. On the mound, Dom Hamel struck out five over 3.0 innings pitched. In Binghamton, Jett Williams hit a first inning home run into right center field.

Mets Francisco Lindor, Mark Vientos and Griffin Canning reacted to the team's 4-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals.  Lindor went 3-for-4 with an RBI, and Mark Vientos hit his first home run of the season.  Griffin Canning got the win, striking out eight over six innings.

Mark Vientos hit a solo home run, his first of the season, as the Mets defeated the Cardinals 4-1. Francisco Lindor went 3-for-4 with a run batted in and Edwin Diaz got the save as New York improved to 12-7 on the season.

Yankees

There were no shortage of heroes for the Yankees on Wednesday night as they completed a three-game sweep of the Royals 4-3. Clarke Schmidt was thrilled to return to a packed house at Yankee Stadium for his first start of the season, tossing a strong 5.2 innings. Captain Aaron Judge snapped a 3-3 tie with a solo home run in the seventh inning and reliever Fernando Cruz took on the closer role with Devin Williams unavailable. Cruz got the job done but needed a little help from Cody Bellinger, who made a diving catch in the ninth inning to preserve the win.

After a difficult start to the season, Yankees' left fielder Jasson Dominguez feels his "confidence growing" after a three-RBI night in a 4-2 win over Kansas City. He complimented Dominguez on his big night and called the win a "great team effort."

The Yankees launched three more home runs, scoring nine times but then had to hold off a late Arizona charge to win 9-7. Trent Grisham and Jazz Chisholm, who each homered themselves, were still in awe of Aaron Judge's three-hit, four-RBI performance including his fifth homer of the young season. Judge chose to credit his teammates for taking quality at-bats and making big pitches in avoiding a sweep.
