Interim Mets manager Andy Green called Nolan McLean's outing "solid but not spectacular" in the 4-3 loss to the Dodgers. Green also addressed the Brett Baty error in LA's three-run third inning, saying it was a tougher play than it looked. McLean felt other than the home run he surrendered to Kyle Tucker, the Dodgers found some holes on soft contact.

The Mets No. 3 prospect, lefty Jonathan Santucci, continues to impress with five shutout innings and six strikeouts in Binghamton's win over Portland. Syracuse's Ronny Mauricio remained red hot, going deep twice against Scranton Wilkes-Barre. Mauricio's teammate Ryan Clifford, went 3-for-4 including a pair of doubles, two runs scored and an RBI. The performance of the night belonged to St. Lucie's Randy Guzman, who clubbed two home runs and drove in six runs vs Fort Myers.

Jonah Tong struck out nine and allowed one earned run on four hits. Ronny Mauricio had a big night at the plate, hitting a home run and a two-RBI single. Ryan Clifford added a two-RBI hit of his own with a line drive off the wall. Chris Suero turned an RBI single into a double with great hustle, and Mitch Voit collected three hits while driving in a run.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone smiled when told what Jazz Chisholm's teammates were telling him after his two-homer, five-RBI performance in an 8-5 win over the Pirates.
