Paul Goldschmidt started things off with a solo shot to lead off the first inning in which they went deep four times. He talked about continuing to add on and admitted the team's familiarity with Cortes' pitching played a big part in their success. Bellinger said "it was super unique" to be a part of but was also in awe of Judge's monster day. The Yankees' captain tried to downplay his performance but agreed the atmosphere was "electric."

Francisco Lindor credited Houston with playing a strong series but felt the Mets as a whole had quality at-bats and doesn't expect the offense to struggle for an extended period.
