He talked about continuing to add on and admitted the team's familiarity with Cortes' pitching played a big part in their success. On SportsNite,  SNY NBA Insider Ian Begley joins Michelle Margaux from MSG where the Knicks fell to the Clippers 126-113. More importantly, they suffered another injury to their backcourt as Cameron Payne injured an ankle. Ian says the Knicks will rely on veteran Delon Wright and rookie Tyler Kolek to fill the void.

Just one night after an excellent performance against Dallas, the Knicks fell flat in a 126-113 loss to the Clippers. Mikal Bridges attributed it to lack of execution, Josh Hart credited LA with "playing faster than we did," while Karl-Anthony Towns said they have to continue to maintain a "next man up," mentality and get back to their game regardless of injuries.

Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau knew playing back-to-back nights would be "a challenge," especially having to face a rested Clippers team. The Knicks' nine turnovers led to 18 points against them and ultimately a 126-113 loss. Already shorthanded in the backcourt with Jalen Brunson and Deuce McBride sidelined, Thibodeau then had to do without Cameron Payne for the entire second-half with an injury. The coach however made no excuses, saying they were more than capable of "overcoming adversity," but didn't get it done.
