SNY Contributor Joe DeMayo says that the Mets are taking a "home run swing" on the potential of hard-throwing right hander Carson Wiggins as their No. 1 pick in the 2026 MLB Draft. Wiggins missed the entire collegiate season at Arkansas but is now 100-percent healthy, touching 97 mph at the recent MLB Combine. He projects as a number three starter or an elite reliever according to DeMayo.

The Mets had two of their players rehabbing with AA Binghamton on Sunday, as both Marcus Semien and Luis Robert Jr. were in action as they prepare for a return to the big league roster. Also, Mets prospect Chris Suero was driving the ball all over the field today, as he homered and doubled in the same game for Binghamton.

It had been seven years since Yankees outfielder Cody Bellinger was named to an all-star team but he made up for it by capturing the MVP Award in this season's All-Star Game, as the American League blanked the National League 4-0. Bellinger's two-run single in the first inning helped the AL get off to a quick lead they would not relinquish. Bellinger talked about how difficult it is to make an all-star team and relished the moment.
