Mets prospects were dominating on the mound and at the plate Tuesday night beginning in Double-A Binghamton, where Gary Gill Hill, acquired by the Mets in the Freddy Peralta trade, struck out eight batters over six innings. The organization's No. 1 prospect Jefferson Rojas provided the offensive support for the Rumble Ponies, crushing a two-run HR and a game-tying double in the bottom of the ninth inning. Brooklyn's Nicolas Carreno was "on fire" fanning seven hitters in 5.2 innings. Ronny Mauricio had another outstanding game at the plate for Syracuse, going 3-for-3 with a long home run.

Both Mets interim manager Andy Green and starter Zac Thornton tipped their cap to Fernando Tatis Jr.'s performance in a 5-2 loss to San Diego. Tatis Jr. went yard on the first pitch of the game, stole a grand slam home run in the second inning and homered again with a man aboard in the fifth. The Mets didn't help themselves, going 0-for-11 with runners in scoring position as their four-game winning streak came to a halt.
