Description: New York Jets DE Carl Lawson missed his first full season with the Jets in 2022 due to an Achilles injury, but is optimistic for a formidable return to the gridiron for Gang Green in 2023. Lawson met the media following OTAs on Tuesday to discuss his road to recovery, and how he feels heading into the new season.

 It's been a rough stretch for Mets OF Harrison Bader, mired in a 0-for-15 slump and just two hits in his last 33 at-bats but he came through in a big way on Saturday breaking a scoreless tie with an opposite-field home run to give the Mets a lead they would not relinquish for their ninth straight win. In light of his struggles Bader "just wants to keep the winning mentality and just want to produce for this team."

Mets starter Jose Quintana pitched 6.2 scoreless innings to earn his 100th MLB win and Harrison Bader broke a 0-for-15 slump with a solo home run, jump-starting a four-run sixth inning as the Mets blanked the Reds 4-0 for their ninth straight win.

Jeff McNeil was hit on the right wrist in Friday's win over the Reds and what he thought was no big deal turned out to be a huge setback to the Mets playoff chase. McNeil sustained a fracture that will likely end his season. It's the second straight year that he's endured a season-ending injury and while he's obviously frustrated, McNeil believes his teammates are more than capable of making up for his loss.
