Mets manager Carlos Mendoza was pretty blunt after being swept by the Dodgers in their eighth straight loss: "We're not playing good baseball right now... not a good showing." He added that his players are "frustrated and pissed... and I want them to be."

Several of the Mets top 30 prospects were in action on Wednesday including Brooklyn's Antonio Jimenez, who belted his first professional home run. In Syracuse, Christian Scott continues to impress striking out five while retiring the last 11 batters he faced and OF Nick Morabito launched a 400-foot solo shot. St. Lucie's Elian Pena and Randy Guzman teamed up to produce two homers, a triple, double and a daring steal of home by Pena. An extended rain delay didn't bother Binghamton's Zach Thornton who struck out six batters over five innings and allowed just two earned runs.
