Following the Mets' shutout loss in Game 2 of their doubleheader against the Rockies, resulting in them being swept by Colorado and falling ten games under .500 before the end of April, Juan Soto, Kodai Senga, and Brett Baty all spoke in the clubhouse as they search for answers in this dismal start to the 2026 season.

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza spoke with the media following the conclusion of Sunday's doubleheader, which saw the Mets getting shutout and swept by the Rockies. Mendoza spoke to the team's offensive struggles, as well as his thoughts on the security of his job with the Mets.

Kodai Senga failed to get through the third inning of his start in Game 2 of the Mets' doubleheader against the Rockies on Sunday, and the Mets' offense failed to get on the board, as they fell 3-0 in the series finale.

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza knew Bo Bichette wanted desperately to come up with a big hit for the home crowd and his bases-loaded double in the eighth inning certainly qualified. Bichette was proud of the fight the team put up after losing the lead. Reliever Huascar Brazoban, who surrendered a game-tying grand slam in the top of the inning, admitted to being embarrassed at not realizing he wasn't supposed to start the ninth inning if the Mets had the lead. Starter Christian Scott was thrilled to be back in the big leagues but his return did not go well, walking five batters and lasting just 1.1 innings.
