Mets Manager Carlos Mendoza knew Mark Vientos' bat would come around and the now veteran infielder had a three-hit night to show for it. Clay Holmes was happy for Vientos because he's seen all the work he puts in. Holmes himself delivered another outstanding start with seven scoreless innings which he attributed to "getting in a rhythm early." Tyrone Taylor came off the bench and promptly blew the game open with a three-run blast, thanks he says to his pregame preparation.

Tyrone Taylor launched a pinch-hit three-run HR, Mark Vientos banged out three hits and Clay Holmes tossed seven scoreless innings as the Mets routed the Giants 9-0.

The Mets' minor league prospects were all in action on Saturday including Syracuse's Nick Morabito who belted his first Triple-A home run and A.J. Ewing delivering an RBI double. Mitch Voit, the club's top pick in the 2025 MLB Draft notched his first hit as a pro in Brooklyn but St. Lucie's Cam Tilly stole the show, striking out six batters in five innings against Palm Beach.

The Mets offense finally broke out, unleashing a 10-run, 15-hit attack in a 10-3 win over the Giants. Marcus Semien had a homer and three RBI while Francisco Alvarez unloaded a pair of long balls, in support of starter Nolan McLean who took a no-hitter into the sixth inning. The only blemish was an apparent leg injury to Juan Soto while he was running the bases in the first inning.
