Matt Allan continued his comeback story on Saturday night striking out three batters and allowing just two hits in 3.2 innings of work with the St. Lucie Mets. Brandon Sproat, the organization's top pitching prospect   had six Ks in 4.1 innings for Triple-A Syracuse against Lehigh Valley.

When Jose Siri fouled a ball off his knee, Mets manager Carlos Mendoza was concerned that it could be serious when he couldn't put any weight on it. X-ray's were negative and though Siri remained in a lot of pain postgame, he expressed some optimism that he would not miss extended time. Starter David Peterson felt he needed to sequence and execute his pitches a little better in the fourth inning when he allowed two runs in an eventual 3-1 loss.

Mets starter David Peterson pitched six strong innings but was outdueled by former Mets farmhand J.T. Ginn as the A's prevailed 3-1. Brandon Nimmo provided the lone bright spot for New York with a solo HR but the rest of the lineup managed just four hits on the day.

Cody Bellinger laced a triple and had two RBI but also complimented Rice on his approach and overall felt the team handled the inclement weather conditions well.

The Yankees launched three more home runs, scoring nine times but then had to hold off a late Arizona charge to win 9-7. Judge chose to credit his teammates for taking quality at-bats and making big pitches in avoiding a sweep.

Paul Goldschmidt started things off with a solo shot to lead off the first inning in which they went deep four times. He talked about continuing to add on and admitted the team's familiarity with Cortes' pitching played a big part in their success. Bellinger said "it was super unique" to be a part of but was also in awe of Judge's monster day. The Yankees' captain tried to downplay his performance but agreed the atmosphere was "electric."
